BLOOM'S TAXONOMY of LEARNING

When it is time to sit down and actually learn, Bloom’s Taxonomy provides a clear, simple, and effective description of how to think and learn. If true, actual learning is the goal, time and energy must be spent working at each level of Bloom’s Taxonomy.

AVOID the traps of “learning;” learning is extremely difficult in the situations below.

  • ​​Staying up late
  • Changing your patterns
  • Relying on handout and study sessions
  • Doing the same things and expecting different results
  • Expecting to learn when you are upset, very hungry or distracted (Maslow)
  • Cramming
